What does Montauk mean to you personally?
I've been going out to Montauk since the early 80's. Most of my cherished childhood memories are from our family summer vacations in Montauk. The friends we spent our time with, the lobster boils, the tumultuous waves of Hither Hills beaches, my little sister running naked through the dunes (during her toddler phase of refusing to wear clothes), dance competitions in our cottage, getting ice cream at John’s Drive-In, walking around the gazebo at Gosman’s Dock...there are many memories. Montauk represents a life of simplicity, ease, family time, love, the beach, & pura vida.
Describe Montauk in a few words:
Montauk, once an extremely low key fishing village, has evolved into a melting pot of surf culture, alternative philosophies, and hedonistic indulgences. It is a place that attracts travelers, surfers, cultural nomads, artists, designers, and bon vivants from around the globe. Montauk is a great place to get active whether it be surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing, sailing, or just enjoying a swim at the beach.
